Essays include: Mr. Anthonyís ìAn Art That Is Passing Away,î ìThe Analogy Between Wood-engraving and Paintingî, by Cole, and ìMemories of Wood-engraving, î by Elbridge. Also featuring American books illustrated with woodcuts which were exhibited at the Grolier Club in the previous year. Loosely inserted is an original Grolier Club admission card for this exhibit, featuring an engraving by Robert Hoskin.
