First edition, second issue. In extremely rare original tan paper dust wrapper printer with lettering and pictorial illustration by Greenaway. Original lattice patterned decorated beige cloth with cross-hatched green decorative covers, lettering and emblem in red brown on both covers. Olive green endpapers. 48pp. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans with color sepia illustrations by Kate Greenaway every page. Wrapper very good with minor chips to corners, some darkening. Book near fine with usual slight soiling to covers, internally clean and bright. Hinges unbroken. Scarce thus.
