The rare first English edition, translated by Coleridge with 27 superb full-plates by Henry Moses from sketches by Moritz Retsch. Several pages with professional repairs including some with larger rice paper mending, newer endsheets, brown-toning internally, cover wear. Still a presentable copy of an exceedingly scarce and important first translation of one of the greatest classics every written.
