First edition. 12mo. Early Arts & Crafts style binding (1902) by Douglas Cockerell with his binding signature in rear dentelle, "19 DC 02." Full polished calf with leaf motif stamped in front and back near the spine forming a darker brown. AEG. The second book of the press, with compositors and a pressman coming over from the Kelmscott Press. Binding somewhat rubbed at spine and corners. An early example of a sparing, but distinctively Arts and Crafts binding by the famous English bookbinder, Douglas Cockerell.
