Eight delightful full-page color plates, eight in light blue, numerous others, all by Pyle in distinctive early style reminiscent of Walter Crane toybooks. Among Pyle's earliest color illustrations, these portray the style that influenced the Brandywine illustrators. Expertly rebacked, original endpapers. Corners scuffed, hinges cracked, lacking rear free fly, very good.
